Dr. Anne Austin Young

Dr. Anne Austin Young was born in Cross Hill, South Carolina, and graduated from Presbyterian College as the school's first female valedictorian. She then went on to medical school, graduating with top honors, during the early 1900s when such an aspiration provided many obstacles for young women. Dr. Young would go on to become a leading OBGYN in Anderson, delivering 10,000 babies in her career.

US INPUT Producer Fellowships to INPUT 2018 in BROOKLYN, NY are available now! The deadline for applications is Friday, March 23 at 5 pm ET.

The US INPUT Secretariat at SCETV is offering a limited number of fellowships for US based station and independent producers to attend the conference in Brooklyn, NY from April 30 - May 4, 2018

Applicants will be asked to complete an application form and submit a current resume and letter of support from a public media administrator familiar with his or her work.

Program Brings New York Musicians to Write and Perform with South Carolina Prisoners

Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville counts numerous musicians among its inmates.  Such is their talent that they have attracted the attention of DeCoda, a New York-based chamber music group.  For four years now, the prison has sponsored a program with the group in which DeCoda comes to work with the prisoners at Lee for a week to write and play music for an annual performance.
