South Carolina ETV (SCETV) today announced that production has wrapped on season 3 of After Action, the acclaimed SCETV series that provides an unfiltered look at life before, during and after military service. Hosted by Air Force combat veteran Stacy Pearsall, After Action invites veterans from across the country to share candid, deeply personal stories in a safe and supportive setting. The new season will include seven, one-hour episodes that will premiere in October 2025 on public television stations nationwide and stream on scetv.org, PBS.org, the PBS app and Amazon Prime.
Season 3 of After Action explores a compelling lineup of themes, including the contributions and challenges of the veteran-farmer community, the return of former prisoners of war and military nurses who served in Vietnam. Additionally, the new season includes law enforcement careers pursued by veterans, stories of recovery and advocacy by formerly homeless veterans, the impact of military leadership and the unique perspectives of Indigenous veterans within the warrior tradition of Native American culture.
After Action producer and host Stacy Pearsall is a retired Air Force Staff Sergeant and former aerial combat photojournalist who earned the Bronze Star Medal and Air Force Commendation with Valor for combat actions in Iraq. She is also the founder of the Veterans Portrait Project, an initiative that honors fellow veterans through powerful photographic storytelling. Pearsall’s work has been exhibited at prominent institutions including the Pentagon, Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum. She is also the co-host of the American Legion podcast Tango Alpha Lima.
Filmed on location at Lowcountry Acres, Pearsall’s farm in rural South Carolina, After Action continues to serve as a meaningful platform for healing, education and connection. After Action is a production of SCETV and is distributed to public television stations across the nation by PBS. Don Godish serves as the executive producer and director. Stacy Pearsall and Hannah Merchant are producers. The series is hosted by Pearsall. Major funding for After Action is provided by the ETV Endowment of South Carolina.
