South Carolina ETV, ETV Endowment awarded $296,000 grant from National Endowment for the Humanities

Reconstruction 360

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV (SCETV) and the ETV Endowment of South Carolina have received a $296,257 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to support its “Reconstruction 360” project. The project includes the development of an immersive website and mobile application.

“Reconstruction 360” complements “Reconstruction: America After the Civil War,” a PBS documentary series which premiered in 2019 and was produced by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Intended for the general public, students and educators, “Reconstruction 360” will use 360° videos and short documentary films to shed light on the Reconstruction era.

This project is one of 188 that the NEH is supporting nationwide in this round of grants. In total, the organization awarded more than $30 million to organizations in 45 states and the District of Columbia. For more on this round of grants, click here.
