COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs (SCDVA) will hold its annual Governor’s Summit on Veterans’ Affairs on Thursday, September 4th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Pastides Alumni Center in Downtown Columbia. The annual meeting is a special presentation to Governor Henry McMaster on the state of Veterans’ Affairs in South Carolina. Governor Henry McMaster and Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey will deliver opening remarks.
SCDVA Director of Workforce Enhancement, David Rozelle, will lead the discussion to follow on SCDVA’s Action Plan for upcoming fiscal year 2025-2026. The meeting will draw representatives and SCDVA partners from state and local governments, major corporations, small business, and Veteran service organizations.

Media availability for Governor Henry McMaster and Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey will immediately follow the event. Due to limited seating, the Governor’s Summit will be broadcast live on SCETV and streamed live on the SCDVA Facebook page (@4SCVETS) for public viewing. Media will be allowed to film the event in a designated area of the Pastides Alumni Center ballroom, 900 Senate Street in Columbia. NOTE: Media wishing to cover the event should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m. to be escorted to the media staging area for advance setup.
