SCEIN Meteorologists: Idalia Updates

SCEIN meteorologist Matt Rudkin provides the latest updates for the now Tropical Storm Idalia. Satellite images show the center moving between Savannah and Charleston. While still a strong storm with 75 mph winds, the good news - it's moving fast at 21 mph. Still could have a 1/2 foot of rain fall across the region before TS Idalia moves out to sea on Thursday morning.

SCEIN meteorologist Matt Rudkin provides the latest updates for the now Tropical Storm Idalia.  The tropical storm will be pushing into South Carolina this evening with lots of rain. With the TS Idalia's center moving along the I-95 corridor, the rain is expected to be the heaviest for surrounding counties.  Almost a 1/2 foot of rain fall is expected across the region before TS Idalia moves out to sea on Thursday morning.

SCEIN meteorologist Megan Borowski provides the latest updates for Hurricane Idalia. Idalia is weakening but it still is a threat to South Carolina. Heavy rains are moving northward and east up the state through Wednesday evening, with the Idalia being a Category 1 or a strong tropical storm. Heavy rain could cause localized flash flooding along the I-95 corridor. There is a risk for tornadoes along the coast line.
