Additional data is needed for the state’s birth through five needs assessment and we want to hear from you! If you are the parent/caregiver of a young child (ages 0-5), please take a few minutes to complete this online survey about your experiences and needs.

The survey is linked below and via the QR code shown. It’s offered in English and Spanish, with the language choice located on the upper righthand side of the survey. Your responses are anonymous and will help inform strategies and programs for young children and their families in South Carolina.

The 2020-2023 Preschool Development Grant Birth-5 Needs Assessment is expanding the findings of the 2019 PDG Needs Assessment and using the 2019 PDG Strategic Plan to identify specific needs associated with priorities in the areas of early childhood education, health/wellbeing and family/community. A Needs Assessment Collaborative was formed to include five faculty members from South Carolina institutions of higher education as well as equity, family, and research methods experts.

This needs assessment survey is conducted by the Research, Evaluation, and Measurement Center at the University of South Carolina and supported by the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five Initiative (PDG B-5), from the Office of Child Care, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to guide state level efforts in providing and improving services that support young children and their families.

Please be a voice for young children and their families to help improve programs in SC. Take this very important survey:  https://bit.ly/2Um3mn4.
