Tracey Enerson Wood is an internationally bestselling author who specializes in bringing forgotten women of history to life. Her novels highlight the incredible achievements of women whose stories have been overlooked. Her latest book, Katharine, the Wright Sister, tells the story of Katharine Wright, the often-uncredited mastermind behind her brothers’ invention of the airplane. Previous works, including The President’s Wife, which explores Edith Bolling Wilson’s marriage to President Woodrow Wilson, and The Engineer’s Wife, about the woman who helped complete the Brooklyn Bridge, showcase Wood’s passion for telling stories of remarkable historical women.
Before becoming a novelist, Wood worked as a Registered Nurse, ran her own interior design business, and lived a dynamic life as a military spouse while raising two children. She has always nurtured her writing passion, penning screenplays, magazine articles, web content and non-fiction works. Her diverse background also includes writing and directing plays of various lengths, allowing her to develop a versatile storytelling style.
In addition to her novels, Wood is dedicated to supporting military heroes through her work in non-fiction. She co-authored Homefront Cooking: American Veterans Share Recipes, Wit, and Wisdom, with all profits supporting organizations that assist veterans. Her latest non-fiction anthology, Life Hacks for Military Spouses, was released by Skyhorse Publishing. A New Jersey native, Wood now lives in Florida with her family, where she continues to write and share her passion for both history and food.
