Learning Social Strategies | Endowment Intern Sydney

ETV Presentation

It’s the end of my third week at SCETV! On Tuesday, I gave a presentation to several of my coworkers. The presentation was about what we could do to improve our social media accounts. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and I learned a lot through my research. I talked a bit about what people like to see the most on social media, the best times to post on different social media networks, and the importance of incorporating different colors into social media accounts. For example, I learned through researching other sites, as well as making my own survey, that color is one of the most (if not the most) influential aspect of catching a user’s attention on social media. I came up with an idea for a new, more colorful profile picture to use on SCETV’s social media accounts, as well as a way to brighten up SCETV’s Pinterest boards a little.

Since then, I have been assigned to revamp SCETV’s Pinterest boards, mainly by making neat, colorful cover photos for them. I’ve already spent a lot of time on them, but I still have a lot of work to do. I’ll be really happy when I get to see the finished product, though!

I am so grateful to have been one of the few chosen for this internship. I’ve already learned so much, and I know I’ll learn even more over the next seven weeks. I’m hoping to be able to go on a few more shoots, as well as learn a bit more about video editing. I’d also like to get a little more comfortable interviewing people. An internship like this one is hard to come by, and I feel truly blessed to have been given this experience. Bring on week four!
