Dear Viewers and Listeners:

As we approach the celebration of Earth Day, it is not only an occasion to reflect on the natural beauty of our state but also an opportunity to recognize the dedication of the SCETV team to preserve our stories. For decades, we have been committed to highlighting the wonders of nature through our television, radio and digital channels, underscoring the importance of preserving our environment for generations to come. In line with promoting environmental consciousness and stewardship, I am delighted to share with you the diverse programming designed to spark meaningful conversations and promote awareness about sustaining our delicate environment.

Switch On, airing on April 7 at 9:30 a.m. on ETV-HD, is a 6-part series taking viewers on a compelling journey to understand the benefits and challenges of bringing energy to more than 3 billion citizens in the developing world. On April 16, a new episode of the digital series Citizen Better, titled Environmental Justice, sheds light on critical environmental issues and advocates for positive change. Sea Change uses the coastal regions of South Carolina and Georgia as powerful examples of climate change and rising sea levels on April 22 at 8 p.m. Then Changing Planet focuses on urgent efforts to preserve coral reefs in the Maldives on April 24 at 8 p.m.

On April 4, viewers can catch the season 3 premiere of By the River at 8:30 p.m. and the premiere of Towns in Tune where small towns grow their economies through international cultural exchange at 9 p.m. Viewers can also tune in for the premiere of the second episode of The Cool and the Strong on April 21 at 4:30 p.m. as our young viewers are encouraged to embrace the power of thinking big and unleashing their potential.

We have all been entrusted with the great responsibility to preserve our environment and to be good stewards of the world we inhabit. We will continue to do our part to illuminate thought–provoking stories around our environment. We express our sincere gratitude for your continued support.
