Statewide Telehealth Summit Spotlights South Carolina's Success
Each year, Palmetto Care Connections hosts an Annual Telehealth Summit of South Carolina.
2018 marks the sixth annual summit. The summit brings together providers, payers, and policy makers. During the summit, major players in healthcare recognize wins and discuss telehealth on both a national and local level.
In April, leaders and experts in telehealth convened in Columbia for the 6th Annual Telehealth Summit of South Carolina. The 2018 Summit was an opportunity for professionals in all aspects of the healthcare industry to learn about the latest telehealth policies and practices in South Carolina. Panel discussions featured administrators and doctors on the forefront of telehealth expansion headline the summit. Industry leaders shared success stories, highlighting ways that telehealth has positively impacted South Carolinians. The theme was “Thriving in a World of Virtual Medicine.” One topic that was of high importance was the conversation around the opioid epidemic.
