President's Corner Monthly Newsletter, June 2018
Dear Viewers and Listeners:
The Spoleto Festival USA is in Charleston through June 10, and SC Public Radio’s Bradley Fuller is there to bring listeners the highlights of this world-class arts festival on Sonatas and Soundscapes. In addition, SC Public Radio does its remarkable quick turn-around of broadcasting this year’s Chamber Music Concerts, June 1-15 at 11 a.m. Past seasons of Chamber Music Concerts can be heard every Thursday at 7 p.m. on the news/music stations.
New this month to SC Public Radio, Planet Money and How I Built This are two series focusing on business and entrepreneurship. Along with a look at today’s economy, guests tell how they built their now-successful companies.
The Great British Baking Show comes back for a fifth season, with returning hosts Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, who welcome a new group of amateur bakers vying to create the best pastries, breads and cakes. Also returning for a fifth season is Masterpiece’s Endeavour, which follows the crime-solving skills of a young Endeavour Morse and his senior partner, DI Fred Thursday. The Doctor Blake Mysteries presents its series finale with a two-hour special—complete with three murders, two weddings and a funeral.
