Dear Viewers and Listeners:

SCETV starts the year out with a variety of new and stimulating programming. Our co-production series Reel South begins a second season of documentaries that highlights some of the best non-fiction storytelling from the American South.

Our new public affairs series, This Week in South Carolina, features interviews with the newsmakers of the week. The programs are hosted by Charles Bierbauer, former ABC and CNN correspondent and Dean of USC’s School of Information and Communications.

The brand new Masterpiece offering, Victoria, dramatizes the life of Queen Victoria from the time she becomes Queen at the age of 18 through her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert. Secrets of the Six Wives takes an in-depth look at each of Henry VIII’s wives and the influence they exerted. A second season of Mercy Street continues to follow the chaos in a hospital during the Civil War.

SC Public Radio offers a new Saturday afternoon line-up, as our co-production World of Opera has come to an end. Listeners can now enjoy Performance Today Weekend and SymphonyCast on Saturdays.

As always, we appreciate your support as SCETV and SC Public Radio begin a new year in serving our viewers and listeners.
