Housing the Homeless in Greenville

May 22, 2019 - Posted in Palmetto Scene by Aimee Crouch

There are currently hundreds of homeless people roaming the streets of Greenville, a city nationally recognized for its amazing growth and beauty. To help with the issue, a group of senior citizens started an initiative called SEARCHlight to help find caring solutions for its homeless population. They partnered with United Housing Connections and several others to build Church Street Place. United Housing Connections has seen success through a similar project and they've learned it's not just a roof over someone's head, but services and security they can't find on the street.
