Man's Best Friend Lends an Ear to Literacy

Learning to read can be exciting and nerve-racking all at once.  For many children, stumbling on a word in front of their peers is a huge fear.  All it takes is a chuckle of a classmate to crush the confidence of a budding reader. But a program called Tail Waggin' Tutors is using man’s best friend to calm the nerves of early readers.  

Check out how a group of dogs and their owners is helping Beaufort-area children gain pride in their reading skills, while they discover the best in books and animals all at once.
