Kate McKinney is the host of the Classical Radio Show, broadcast from the ETV Radio studios in Columbia, S.C.

Music is part of everyone’s lives. It has the power to inspire people around the world. Kate is dedicated to providing this experience to her listeners, and to providing them with a good hour of classical music. The Classical Radio Show is transmitted every weekday at 11 a.m. on all the classical stations around the state of South Carolina. It is the only live classical radio show produced out of the ETV Radio studios since the mid- nineties.

With a degree in music and voice performance, Kate’s passion for classical music evolved throughout her years in college, as well as her passion for radio. According to Kate, one of the most important elements inside the Classical Radio Show is the broad range of programming the show has to offer to its listeners.

Kate enjoys programming new pieces that have been written or recorded recently, along with the greatest pieces of classical music; as she says that this mix of programming is what makes the show special.

You can listen to the Classical Radio Show with host Kate McKinney every Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to Noon on ETV's Classic stations.
