COLUMBIA, S.C. - Governor Nikki Haley has issued a statewide proclamation designating the month of October as Bullying Prevention Month.

This proclamation is a part of Governor Haley’s continued anti-bullying initiative. The proclamation states that schools should be safe, positive learning environments in which students are able to thrive without the threat of being bullied. This statewide proclamation also recognizes the negative effects that bullying can have on a child’s health and learning experience.

Governor Haley encourages all South Carolinians to work together to raise awareness of the problem in an effort to keep our schools and communities free from bullying.
