Haley Creates One SC Fund to Help Flood Victims

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley announced the creation of the One SC fund this morning. The purpose of One SC is to help South Carolinians rebuild and repair their homes that were damaged or destroyed during the flood. The Governor is leading the effort to raise funds for One SC and has requested several South Carolina celebrities and leaders to join her in these efforts.

How will the funds be distributed?

Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF) will accept donations from business, community partners, and individuals for this fund. Through an RFP process, CCCF will then award grants to nonprofits poised to rebuild and repair homes in the counties declared federal disaster areas and eligible for individual assistance.

For the first round of grants, applications are due December 1, and grants will be awarded as funds come in (no later than beginning of January). 100% of the donations will go to assisting South Carolinians.
