Cale Yarborough | SC Hall of Fame

Cale Yarborough was born in 1939 and grew up on a farm in Sardis, South Carolina. He entered his first NASCAR race in 1957 and won the Darlington 500 in 1968. Yarborough won the Daytona 500 four times and won the national championship (Winston Cup) three years in a row (1976-1978).
