Across South Carolina, patients can virtually connect to local doctors from their phone, tablet, or computer. These virtual exams are intended to offer patients a convenient and affordable option for their non-emergent needs.
Palmetto Health’s SmartExam launched at the end of 2016. Conditions commonly treated in most virtual exams include sore throat, allergies, bladder infections and more. All exams include a dynamic interview. They are electronically submitted and reviewed by a provider for a treatment plan or appropriate next steps.
