COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV (SCETV) today announced the network is partnering with EdVenture Children’s Museum to host a series of activities on November 7 in conjunction with the upcoming premiere of the new PBS Kids series, “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum.”

Based on the children’s book series “Ordinary People Change the World” by New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer and illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos, “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum” aims to introduce kids to inspiring historical figures and the character virtues that helped them succeed.

Featuring Eliopoulos, who also serves as the show’s co-creator and illustrator, the events on November 7 are part of a week-long promotional tour PBS is executing in advance of the series premiere. Locally, the program will debut November 11 at 4:30 p.m. on SCETV.

The day of activities on November 7 will begin at 10 a.m. with a children’s event where participating children will have an opportunity to screen a preview of the new series and draw with Eliopoulos. Then, in the afternoon, a workshop will take place from 3 – 4 p.m., where educators, pre-service teachers and art students will have an opportunity to view a preview of the show and participate in a discussion with Eliopoulos. Taking place at the EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia, S.C., both events are open to the public.
