SCETV's Songwriting Workshop featured Patrick Davis and Friends

South Carolina Educational Television (SCETV) hosted a songwriting workshop featuring Patrick Davis, Wyatt Durrette, Levi Lowrey, and Phillip Lammonds, in conjunction with the premiere of Ken Burns’ new PBS documentary, “Country Music."

SCETV also launched a country music songwriting contest, targeting rising fifth through 12th grade South Carolina students. The contest features both an individual and group category. To vote for your favorite artist click here

Carolina Country with Patrick Davis & Friends premieres September 18 at 7 pm on ETV.

Ken Burns’ “Country Music” explores the remarkable stories of the people and places behind one of America’s unique art forms. The eight-part, 16-hour series focuses on the biographies of the fascinating characters who created and shaped country music, as well as the times in which they lived.
