Carolina Classrooms: Workforce Development

Carolina Classrooms is ETV’s monthly educational series for teachers, parents and all citizens invested in the education of our children.

Hosted by ETV Education’s Kimberly Singletary, the Carolina Classrooms February 27th edition explores CATE programs and community partnerships that teach students vocational skills to prepare them for the workforce.

At the Heyward Career and Technology Center, Principal Dr. Sherry Rivers, instructor Reginald China, and the students show what they have learned and talk about the importance of hands-on, real-world training.

Also, Lakia Gaines, Aerospace Engineering teacher at the Sumter Career and Technology Center, provides an update on her students' progress as they prepare to graduate and head out into the workforce.
