Carolina Classrooms: Celebrating Teachers May 29, 7-8 p.m. on SCETV

Carolina Classrooms, ETV’s monthly educational series, celebrates teachers with a special program featuring segments with finalists for our new SC Teacher of the Year and profiles of other outstanding South Carolina educators. Watch May 29, 7:00-8:00 p.m. on SCETV!

 

SC Teacher of the Year Finalists:

 

Tamara Cox, Media Specialist, Wren High School, Anderson School District One

Stephanie Haecherl, 2nd grade, Mamie P. Whitesides Elementary, Charleston County School District

Chanda Jefferson, Biology 9-12th grades, Fairfield Central High School, Fairfield County School District

Shelley Smith, Social Studies 11th & 12th grades, Travelers Rest High School, Greenville County Schools

Sue Weems, English 10th & 11th grades, Blythewood High School, Richland School District Two

 

Hosted by ETV Education’s Kimberly Singletary, a former South Carolina teacher, the hour-long special program will celebrate South Carolina educators as they share their passion for teaching and talk about the changes and challenges in public education today. Also, we’ll hear from a variety of folks around our state about special teachers who inspired them!
