reTHINKING Literacy for the 21st Century Learner: Report Released

The SC Education Oversight Committee (EOC) has issued the final report from the August 7, 2018 Symposium, “reTHINKING Literacy for the 21st Century Learner.”
The report is available for download and dissemination. National experts Drs. Timothy Shanahan, Stacey Leftwich, and Marilyn Adams came to South Carolina to discuss strategies for solving the language, reading, and literacy problem in the state.
Led by Dr. Lorin Anderson, nearly 100 individuals representing policymakers, local school board members, district leaders, principals, teachers, literacy coaches, and teacher preparation programs from across South Carolina came together to focus on improving literacy outcomes for students.
