FREE Webinar from PBS Kids & Other Learning Professionals: SUMMER SLIDE May 4 at 3:00 pm

April 26, 2017 - Posted in Education by Bette Jamison
NETA webinar for PBS Kids Summer Slide

Join PBS Kids and other out-of-school time learning professionals for a webinar to help you and your partners skip the "summer slide," the tendency for students to lose some of the achievement gains they made during the previous school year.
Jennifer English, senior director, partnerships and station relations/PBS KIDS, will share some of the history of PBS Kids + Summer, and past work with the National Summer Learning Association.  She will review the resources available for favorites like Odd Squad Camp and ScratchJr, and how these resources can be applied in various programs.
Timothy Fowler,
the professional development director at the New York State Network for Youth Success, will talk about various dayparts and the PBS resources he thinks are an especially good fit for them. He'll also offer advice on connecting with the affiliates of afterschool / out of school time organizations in your area.

SUMMER SLIDE webinar, hosted by NETA's Community Engagement Council
Produced by Jennifer Baumstein, WMHT and Angie Callahan, WHRO
