EOC Issues Report That Examines Education of Military Connected Children

Per Act 289, passed by the SC General Assembly in 2014, the SC Education Oversight Committee (EOC) is required to develop an annual report on the educational performance of military connected children in our state. The 2017 report, which was approved by the EOC on April 10, 2017, provides:

  • An overview of the federal Impact Aid program;
  • Details regarding the demographics of military-connected students;
  • An update on the academic performance and school attendance of military-connected students; and
  • A summary of the trainings for educators and families to enhance support of military-connected students at home and in school.
