2017 Constitution Day James Otis Lecture Now Online
The James Otis Lecture for Constitution Day 2017 was taped at the State House on Sept. 15, 2017 and is now available online.
Featuring U.S. District Court Judge Richard M. Gergel and S.C. Court of Appeals Judge Aphrodite Konduros, the program topic is “Separation of Powers and the Judges’ Role in our Constitutional System.”
Presented by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (SC ABOTA), the James Otis Lecture Series is produced every year in observance of National Constitution Day. Two students from most South Carolina high schools were invited to be in attendance and recognized as James Otis Scholars.
At the end of the event, the high school students were able to question the two dignitaries and this additional component can be accessed in the archived edition of the 2017 James Otis Lecture.
