Attention Early Childhood Caregivers, Educators, and Parents: WNET Education is launching an experimental new education project, designed to engage our youngest learners in science and nature content.

NATURE NUGGETS is a free texting initiative that brings NATURE, WNET’s award-winning natural history series, to a mobile device near you. Nature Nuggets are minute-long, child-friendly, narration-free videos that introduce early learners to the wonders of the animal world. Each short video will be accompanied by a brief fun activity for adults and preschoolers to complete together.

NATURE NUGGETS is a pilot project, in which WNET is investigating new platforms and delivery modes for educational content. The project is specifically aimed at caregivers, educators, and parents of children ages 3-5. A video and activity will be sent out via text once a week for eight weeks, beginning Wednesday, May 4.

Standard data and messaging rates may apply, and users can opt out any time.
