Education Oversight Committee Read Your Way to the Big Game 2016 Reading Content

The “Read Your Way to the Big Game” Contest is underway for the second year in a row! Contest kits have been mailed to all primary, elementary, and middle schools in South Carolina. Public school students in PK-8 are again eligible to participate in this year’s contest, which ends November 1.

Two winning students (one reading for the University of South Carolina and one for Clemson) each will receive four free tickets to the Palmetto Bowl, the historic match-up between USC and Clemson. Two schools with at least 70 percent participation are eligible to win $2,000 for their school library.

Teachers can also win big! Five participating teachers are eligible to win $500 for their classroom and two teachers or school library media specialists can win $500 for their efforts in promoting the reading contest.

LEARN more about the contest and get extra materials online.
