Melissa Turner's jewelry business Haute and Baubled is a play on the popular phrase "Hot and Bothered." When discussing how she makes her jewelry, Melissa says, "When I'm picking out gemstones, I like to say that they speak to me when I pick them out...I've got to be able to visualize something that I can make with a certain gemstone before I pick it out." She comments on the beauty of jewelry, saying, "Something as simple as a piece of jewelry can always lift your spirits, even if you just get it as a gift. It's something handmade and it has a special meaning that someone picked it out for you."
