Made Here | What "Homegrown" Really Means to Baker Farm

The Lowrance Family bought Baker Farm in 2006. Neither Allen Lowrance or Sarah Lowrance came from farming families, but agreed it'd be "a nice way to raise the girls." Now about 12 years later, Sarah says "My favorite part is probably seeing my kids' enjoyment of it." Their children all have active rolls in the farm and their oldest daughter, Emma, inspired by her mother's crocheting, now creates and sells charms alongside her parents at different vendor events. Allen adds to that, saying "That's the pay off. That's the wealth that we've gained from this experience...is having them to have this as an opportunity of, 'a tomato comes from a garden, not from the grocery store.'"
