Richland Public Library Hosts Youth Business Camp

Richland Public Library Hosts Youth Business Camp

Every year the Richland Public Library in Columbia, South Carolina, hosts the Youth Business Camp.

This free camp is open to rising 6th-12th graders who have an interest in entrepreneurship, business and finance. The workshop is a partnership between Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union and Professor Paul Smith of Newberry College.

Smith encourages participants to build upon their own strengths, interests and talents through engaging in hands-on learning through performing market research, learning about the financial decisions that go into pricing and running a business, learning about giving back and philanthropy, and many other lessons.
