After the historic flood that struck Columbia early in October, many businesses suffered damages unlike anything they have ever seen. LaBrasca’s Pizza was one of them. Located in the Garners Ferry area, LaBrasca’s suffered from the unexpected flooding of Gills Creek. Despite the setbacks, and with community support, LaBrasca’s has managed to slowly get back on its feet. They are currently open for carry-out and order deliveries.

Tuesday Updates on South Carolina Flooding

After an intense and historic flood disaster in South Carolina, the state rescue teams are fanning out, searching flooded homes and cars.

Haley said in a press conference that there are 469 road closures, including bridges, utilities back to normal and there have been 4367 service calls to troopers. The governor added, "do not drive through barricades roads...they are not safe." There have been 14 fatalities. The Department of Natural Resources has had 175 water rescues.

The main goal of WedTexts is to help engaged couples reduce the stress related to a very stressful, yet amazing time–-the time leading up to their wedding. As the National Hispanic Heritage Month (September) approaches, the City of Columbia takes the opportunity to recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the community through different events. The 12th Annual Main Street Latin Festival took place last Saturday in Columbia, South Carolina, with the purpose of celebrating and sharing the Latin culture through its foods, arts, dances and music.
