We are proud to announce that the ETV Endowment of South Carolina has earned Charity Navigator’s seventh consecutive 4-star rating.  Charity Navigator is the leading charity evaluator in America.  In their letter to the Endowment, Charity Navigator said “This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that ETV Endowment of South Carolina exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work.

America’s Test Kitchen Visits SCETV

America's Test Kitchen co-hosts Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison visited Columbia and Charleston for two sold-out Endowment member events this past week.  The popular program, now in its 18th season, deconstructs recipes, recommends best practices, offers taste tests and equipment recommendations. 

Media Information for SCETV/Post and Courier’s Gubernatorial Debates in Clemson, May 23-24, 2018

LIVE GUBERNATORIAL DEBATE MAY 23, 24 AT 7PM

SCETV and The Post and Courier’s 2018 gubernatorial debates at The Brooks Fine Arts Center at Clemson University will be open to credentialed media. The Republican debate will take place on Wednesday, May 23rd and the Democratic debate will take place Thursday, May 24th.

The doors will open at 6:00 and we ask that all media be seated by 6:55.

TV and still cameras are allowed inside the venue leading up to the start of the live 7:00 debate, but must be out of venue by 6:55.

South Carolina ETV and Public Radio Broadcast Nominated for Regional Emmy®

Emmy Nomination for Total Solar Eclipse

South Carolina ETV and Public Radio's co-production of the live TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE has been nominated for a regional Emmy for Special Event Coverage. Congratulations to our staff, including Renée Layson, Aimee Crouch, Beryl Dakers, and Kevin Jordan. Host Dakers, with public radio and TV reporters on location around the state and the staff of the SC State Museum, provided live coverage on August 21, 2018 as a total solar eclipse occurred over South Carolina. Eclipse watchers could also use radio or apps to hear public radio narration of the event wherever they chose to watch.

A Chef's Life Wins Daytime Emmy

Vivian Howard hosts A Chef's Life.

A Chef’s Life has won the Daytime Emmy® for Outstanding Culinary Program.  Hosted by Emmy nominee Vivian Howard, the series is in its fifth year on PBS and presented nationally by South Carolina ETV.  Director Cynthia Hill has previously won for her work on the series.

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW's three Charleston-based episodes air again Sundays at 11:00 a.m. on ETV World April 29-May 13, 2018.

The 13-time Emmy® nominated series came to Charleston in August of 2015 as part of its six-city summer production tour. More than 4,500 guests attended the all-day appraisal event where guests received valuations of their antiques and collectibles from specialists from the country’s leading auction houses and independent dealers.

A Chef's Life Garners Emmy Nominations

SCETV’s national presentation A Chef’s Life has garnered three Daytime Emmy® nominations.  The show has been nominated for Outstanding Culinary Program, Best Directing (Cynthia Hill), and Outstanding Culinary Host (Vivian Howard).  The awards will be announced April 29, 2018. A Chef’s Life has previously received a Peabody Award, director Hill has previously won an Emmy for this series.  The show airs Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. on SCETV and Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. on the South Carolina Channel.

Gubernatorial Primary Debates Announced

South Carolina Gubernatorial Primary Debates

South Carolina ETV and the Charleston Post and Courier will host gubernatorial primary election debates this spring. The debates will be held in conjunction with the state’s Democratic and Republican parties, and will be broadcast statewide on SCETV and SC Public Radio. Candidates will receive formal invitations after the March 30 filing deadline.
