About the Filmmaker
Aidan Rentaria is an early-career filmmaker with experience in video production, including directing, lighting, writing, sound, and camera operation. As a senior in Film & Media at the University of South Carolina, he has had the opportunity to work on projects ranging from short films to an independent feature film. His dedication to storytelling through filmmaking is shaped by his life experiences and the things he loves, allowing for a blend of narrative and experimental work.
About NextLens
The NextLens Online Film Festival showcases the talented and innovative aspiring filmmakers from South Carolina. With the minimum age of sixteen, honorees are selected from South Carolina high schools, colleges and universities. The online film festival will be held annually each Spring featuring some of the brightest producers and their creative short films.
