On this episode of Studio See, we travel to a solar observatory and follow the kids working there. They use various types of equipment to study and understand the sun. They explain how the equipment works and what the purpose of it is.
The next segment goes to a sugarcane farm where a man makes his own sugarcane syrup. He explains the process behind how he makes it in great detail. He has a lot of helpers and people love it.
Next, follow a mariachi school which is the only one in the United States at that time. Mariachi music goes back a long time, and it is a traditional folkloric music that Mexican people enjoy. The school performs for the first time in front of an audience. Students explain what instrument they play and what they enjoy about it. The students also balance working hard in the fields along with the class.
The final segment is about the boat the “Adventure.” The older boat has a five-man crew. Some kids went on it to understand how it operates. This type of boat was used over 300 years ago but still operates the same. The kids ask questions about the ship and then the captain demonstrates how to operate the ship.
