Studio See: Gymnastics (1978) | ETV Classics

Our first segment takes place in Milford, Connecticut. It follows a trio of young women who participate at the Girl Scout’s School of Gymnastics. They follow a ballet exercise with music that is instructed by Peter, who just came from Russia, to help warmup the muscles they use for gymnastics. They practice more and more so that they can, hopefully, compete with the rest of the world at the Olympics.

Next, we focus on science fiction, particularly two young men creating a science fiction film of their own titled “Logan One,” which serves as a precursor to “Logan’s Run.” It dives into the intricacies of creating one’s own film, as well as the difficulties that come with it.

Our last segment, features a Black man lying in grass, attempting to create an analogy about being born. The segment is titled “Poetry Power,” and it includes a poem by Thomas Persley from Georgetown, Kentucky.
