South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV) will provide livestream services for the annual Governor’s Summit on Veterans’ Affairs on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon from the Pastides Alumni Center in downtown Columbia. The annual meeting will provide a special presentation to Gov. Henry McMaster on the state of veterans’ affairs in South Carolina.
Gov. McMaster and South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs (SCDVA) Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey will deliver opening remarks before SCDVA leaders guide a discussion focused on a veteran’s journey from pre-separation from the military through retirement and into future long-term care.
Leaders from SCDVA’s Veteran Services, Workforce Enhancement and Veteran Care divisions will discuss the resources and support available to veterans throughout each stage of their journey. The summit will bring together representatives and SCDVA partners from state and local governments, major corporations, small businesses and veteran service organizations.
