Lindsey Graham 2002 at time of his election to the U.S. Senate. The Big Picture

Sen. Lindsey Graham died on July 11, 2026.  

After Strom Thurmond's retirement, Lindsey Graham was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2003. 

Prior to that, he had served in the U.S. House of Representatives (January 3, 1995-January 3, 2003) and in the South Carolina House of Representatives (1992-1994).
