Join "A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration" in celebrating America’s birthday by hosting your very own watch party

South Carolina ETV (SCETV) will select a viewer to host a fun-filled “red, white and blue” watch party in recognition of the upcoming annual holiday concert for America’s birthday at the U.S. Capitol, A Capitol Fourth:250th Weekend Celebration.

A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration, will kick off the historic Independence Day weekend on Friday, July 3 to celebrate America’s birthday with special tributes, musical selections and a live fireworks display from George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the home of the nation’s first president. A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration will broadcast live on ETV on July 3 at 8 p.m. The event will also stream on the SCETV website, the PBS website, the SCETV app and the Capital Concerts YouTube Channel.

The selected party will receive an Independence Day-themed watch party kit to host a celebration and a $500 gift card for party supplies, provided by A Capitol Fourth: 250th Weekend Celebration and its exclusive national corporate sponsor The Boeing Company.

Winner photos will be shared on A Capitol Fourth and SCETV social media channels. During the live broadcast on July 3, the selected winner must post photos of their watch party to social media, tagging @SouthCarolinaETV (Instagram and Facebook) and @July4thPBS.

To be considered, message SCETV on Instagram or Facebook by June 26 at 5 p.m., sharing your interest in hosting a watch party. Messages must answer the question – “What moment in American history has inspired you the most?”
