Jack Bass | University Forum (1978) | ETV Classics
Jack Bass, democratic nominee, U.S. House 2nd District is interviewed about his campaign.
Dr. Morris Blachman of USC Government and International Studies noted that as a journalist, Jack Bass has covered numerous campaigns and written the book The Transformation of Southern Politics, and he asked if Bass still felt the same way about Southern politics as when he wrote the book. Bass observed that there are things you learn as a candidate that there are no other ways to learn.
It is a most enjoyable interview as we learn where Jack Bass stands on the issues, including his belief that the federal government should play an active role in protecting consumers.
