Social isolation is now being recognized as a public health concern across all age groups. This film sheds light on the dissociative effects of isolation and the importance of genuine human connection.
It follows a young man through a time of perpetual twilight as he ventures to a local produce store and then back home without being acknowledged or seen by others. The young man’s lack of connection and identity leads him to obscure his own face, fashioning the produce into vegetal companions before crushing the fruits altogether.
The film is characterized by the young man’s lack of awareness and connection to others and himself, a symptom of his social isolation.
