The Ladybug Release Award honors South Carolina school district educators who embody the spirit of Bobbi Kennedy through their daily work with students.
This recognition celebrates teachers who foster meaningful classroom experiences, build strong relationships, and create engaging, student-centered learning environments.
Rather than requiring an application, educators are nominated by their principals for the impact they are already making in their schools and classrooms.
Award Details
- Five educators will be selected statewide
- $500 award per recipient
- Each recipient will be offered 2 hours of classroom assistance, classroom takeover, or afternoon duty relief by one or more ETV Education team members, to be redeemed by the end of the 2025-26 school year

Nominees must: - Be a current PreK–12 educator in South Carolina
- Not be a current Teacher of the Year
- Be nominated by their school principal
- Nomination Criteria
Nominees should demonstrate: - A strong commitment to building classroom community and belonging
- Creative and engaging instructional practices
- A focus on student-centered learning experiences
- Meaningful impact on students both academically and personally
- Characteristics that reflect the spirit of Bobbi Kennedy through their everyday work

- Each principal may nominate one teacher per school.
- Nominations should include a brief statement (3–5 sentences) describing why the teacher is deserving of this recognition.
