South Carolina ETV (SCETV) announced a new partnership with WORLD, a public media destination for news and documentary programming. In addition to broadcasting live legislative coverage and local public affairs programming, this collaboration will bring multicultural nonfiction content to South Carolina viewers across broadcast and streaming platforms through ETV World on television and live streaming.
This partnership expands SCETV’s commitment to providing compelling, high–quality educational content to South Carolina audiences. ETV World currently features live global newscasts with an international perspective on U.S. news as well as South Carolina news programming, including live gavel–to–gavel coverage of the South Carolina legislature from January through June each year. Live newscasts in English come to ETV World from around the world, including DW–TV, France 24, the BBC and NHK, along with local programs such as State House Today and the Carolina Business Review. WORLD programming will complement these existing offerings, and viewers will continue to enjoy local programs such as This Week in South Carolina as well as maintain access to live legislative coverage.
Through this partnership, ETV World viewers will have access to WORLD's programming that elevates storytelling and presents new ideas, voices and solutions. Original content includes America ReFramed, featuring award-winning U.S. documentaries; Doc World, showcasing international feature-length films; Local, USA, presenting story-themed reporting on local issues of national importance; and Stories from the Stage, offering insightful personal narratives that reveal the stories behind headlines.
ETV World ensures South Carolina audiences have expanded access to compelling storytelling and varied perspectives from independent filmmakers and public media creators, while preserving the essential news and legislative programming that ETV World viewers expect.
ETV network programming remains accessible through multiple platforms, including the SCETV website, SCETV app, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and the PBS App. Additionally, members of the ETV Endowment of South Carolina continue to have access to an extended library of public television programming through SCETV Passport.
