Beauty and The Beast (2002)

This Columbia City Ballet production of Beauty and the Beast was staged and choreographed by William Starrett with music composed and performed by Thomas Semanski. Dancing the roles of Beauty: Mariclare Miranda; and the Beast/Prince: Peter Kozak.

Carmina Burana (1979)

Based on a medieval collection of poems, this ballet was performed to Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Árpád A. Darázs conducts the Columbia Philharmonic and directs the combined voices of the Columbia Choral Society, University of South Carolina Concert Choir, R.H. Fulmer, and Northside Middle School Choirs.

Coppelia (1980)

We are delighted to present to you Coppelia, a comic ballet in three acts performed by the Columbia City Ballet under the artistic direction of Ann Brodie. Filmed at the Township and Manning High School in 1980, were you there? The curtain opens on the town square of a small Eastern European Village several hundred years ago...

Giselle (1983)

In this two-act ballet, we meet Giselle, a lovely maiden with a weak heart, who is courted by Count Albrecht who has disguised himself as a peasant youth. Alone with Giselle, he swore his eternal love for her. But wait! There is betrayal! Watch here to learn the timeless tale of Giselle, Albrecht, and the dangers of unfulfilled love.

Cinderella (1974)

Sidney Palmer directed and produced this ballet in three acts by Serge Prokofiev. This stunning production was performed by the Columbia City Ballet. You won't want to miss watching this beautifully danced and timeless production!

La Sylphide

It is early morning in a Scottish manor house on the wedding day of young James, who sits dozing by the fire when a Sylphide dances through his dream. Romeo & Juliet (1985)

This stunning full-length ballet, produced and directed for television by Sidney J. Palmer is a visual delight! William Starrett and Mariclare Miranda were Romeo and Juliet, and there were several guest performers rounding out the troupe of the Columbia City Ballet.
