South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV) announces the premiere of the latest installment of SCETV Safe Space, an award-winning program focused on youth mental health. The new episode, titled “Never Alone,” will air May 29 at 7 p.m. on ETV. This episode offers a heartfelt conversation about the devastating impact of bullying and the profound loss that can follow. It explores how the effects of bullying extend far beyond the person being targeted, creating lasting grief for families, friends and entire communities.
Hosted by entrepreneur, author and SCETV correspondent Brittney Brackett, “Never Alone” brings together a dynamic panel featuring voices from across South Carolina. Panelists include Markeshia Grant, founder of Savvy Skills and a former University of South Carolina and international basketball player, who now leads transformational youth programs and workshops centered on identity and life transitions. Tiffney Davidson-Parker, Executive Director of NAMI Greenville, also joins the discussion. Davidson-Parker’s career in mental health advocacy spans decades. Adding authentic youth perspectives to the conversation are Morgan Coleman and Keydriana Simmons from C.A. Johnson High School in Columbia, as well as Hailey Crick and Aaron Robinson from Lexington High School in Lexington. Together, they examine how open dialogue, community support and accessible resources can help prevent tragedy and provide healing for those affected by bullying.
“Never Alone” builds on the mission of SCETV Safe Space to foster honest conversations on mental health among South Carolina’s youth and the adults who support them. Previous episodes have tackled issues such as teen stress, social media and peer relationships.
SCETV Safe Space “Never Alone” premieres May 29 at 7 p.m. on ETV. Viewers can also stream the program at SCETV.org and PBS.org, as well as on the SCETV YouTube channel and Facebook page. Past episodes remain available on-demand.
