South Carolina ETV and Public Radio (SCETV) today announced a yearlong partnership with the South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (SCCADVASA) on an initiative called South Carolina Speaks: Focus on Domestic Violence. As Domestic Violence Awareness Month comes to a close, SCETV and SCCADVASA reaffirm their shared commitment to raising awareness and educating the public over the next year through multiplatform coverage.

Through this partnership, SCETV will feature news stories, television and radio programming, and special events that explore the impact of domestic violence and sexual assault on victims, families and communities in South Carolina. Coverage will also spotlight resources and support available to survivors, while uplifting the work of organizations across the state that provide critical services.

As the collective voice for the prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault in South Carolina, SCCADVASA provides education, resources, and policy advocacy to support survivors and build safer communities. Its statewide coalition is made up of 22 sexual assault and domestic violence member organizations that offer free and confidential support, hotlines, safety planning, emergency shelter, counseling and other critical resources for survivors, their children and families.

Programming and coverage related to the partnership will be featured across SCETV’s television, radio, digital and social platforms throughout the year. Additional information will be available on the SCETV website and sccadvasa.org.
