This Friday, July 4th, marks the 65th annual Lexington County Peach Festival.
The festival is held in Gilbert, S.C. each year and is sponsored by the Gilbert Community Club. The Lexington County Chronicle named the festival as one of its 2025 Lexington’s Best in the Community category.
The mile-long “Peach Parade” kicks the event off at 9:30 a.m. and will last around an hour. You will see multiple floats, local peach queens and marching bands along the parade.
The parade has also been a political magnet, drawing Senators Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, as well as Representative Joe Wilson, to the festival in years past.
The Lexington County Peach Festival says some other attractions you can find include a car show, carnival rides and live music. A variety of food vendors will be set up throughout the day, including plenty of peaches and more. For those who enjoy shopping and hands-on activities, multiple merchandise and craft vendors will also be present.
There will also be a display of fireworks at 9:15 p.m. to conclude the festival.
You can find a map of the festival on the Lexington County Peach Festival website here.
