South Carolina ETV celebrates revamped websites

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ETV (SCETV) today announced the launch of revamped websites for scetv.org and KnowItAll.org. Redesigned to better meet the needs of all South Carolinians, the new sites aim to inform and inspire, connecting users with relevant resources and information, as well as quality, entertaining content for all ages.

Serving as the agency’s primary website, scetv.org features content from local and national programs, news and weather coverage, educational resources and interactive material for kids. KnowItAll.org, which was launched in 2001, serves as a database and content library for both educators and the general public. In total, the site hosts nearly 9,000, curriculum-based media assets.

Initiated by the necessity to upgrade the web content management platform for both scetv.org and KnowItAll.org, the new sites feature the same content as they did previously but with a few additions. On scetv.org, the all-new Engage page allows users to immerse themselves in South Carolina history, culture and art through quizzes and local stories, which are searchable by region on an interactive state map. Also new, the Watch page provides access to content from all local and national programs, as well as a live stream of the network’s primary broadcast channel.

In addition to these new features, the revamped sites also boast increased search functionality and better mobile optimization. On KnowItAll.org, which includes educational resources for both educators and the general public, content is now searchable by grade, subject, content type and state educational standards.

Although SCETV is celebrating the launch of these revamped platforms this week, the new sites were actually published as part of a soft launch in late December.
