SCETV is embarking on a statewide journey to connect with communities where everyday stories are shared, insights are gathered and the voices of local residents matter. 

SCETV’s news team will host town-hall-style discussions on the issues that matter most— from education and the economy to the environment, culture and 2026 statewide elections. Let’s talk, listen and together strengthen the local stories that define our state.

The News Team will be visiting the following areas:*

November 2025Stop 1: Allendale, Barnwell, Aiken and Bamberg
February 2026Stop 2: Dillon, Marlboro and Chesterfield
March 2026Stop 3: Abbeville, McCormick and Greenwood
May 2026Stop 4: Oconee, Pickens and Anderson
July 2026Stop 5: McClellanville, Awendaw, Georgetown and Horry
September 2026Stop 6: Charleston, Beaufort and Jasper
October 2026Stop 7: Fairfield, Chester and Rock Hill

October 2025 - Virtual Kickoff Event

This free, livestreamed event introduced a 14-month initiative designed to amplify community voices, strengthen trust in local journalism and elevate youth perspectives across the state. Participants got a preview of the upcoming statewide tour, which will include in-person listening sessions, student journalism workshops and town-hall-style discussions. The South Carolina Emergency Management Division also discussed the essential role of disseminating information during times of emergencies and its partnership with SCETV.
